QUARTER SESSIONS.
———◦———
WYALONG, Monday, 11th
August.
———
(Before His Honor, Acting-Judge Bevan.)

…

Tuesday.

Louis Kiezor [aka Kyesor] was charged with attempted bestiality.

Constables Clarke and [John] McNeilly deposed to having discovered accused, under suspicious circumstances, in a blacksmith’s shop adjoining the Police Station.

A certain portion of their evidence was corroborated by a civilian whose appearance on the scene had eventuated just when the accused was being removed to the lockup.

Other witnesses gave evidence to the effect that the prisoner had previously borne a good character.

The accused contended that the case was trumped up, as a result of spite of long standing, by the constables and that the civilian supporting their evidence had been laboring under a misapprehension.

The jury consisted of Messrs: Norman Stewart, Jacob Haub, Frederick Bernstein, Michael Joseph Crowley, Frederick Chudleigh, Richard Thomas, Walter Francis Sully, Robert Murray, James Keegan, Samuel Ridley, Stephen Waterson, and John Kenny, who returned a verdict of guilty. The accused was then sentenced to 12 months imprisonment.
