CHARGE OF ASSAULT.

William Hunt pleaded not guilty to a charge of indecent assault, [upon Maurice Ferrari]. Accused had suffered from a severe injury to the head. He had been under treatment in Callan Park Asylum during March, April, and May this year, and discharged sane. Dr [Andrew] Davidson 4 deposed that the accident had injured the brain to such an extent that under the influence of stimuli he became temporarily insane, though perfectly sane during the intervals. During his stay at Callan Park accused was very well behaved, he was then, of course, kept from drink.
